Debbie Akane of PNG departs for USA to Pursue Masters Degree in Law

 Debbie Akane,  Legal Officer - Litigation at the Papua New Guinea Forest Authority, will soon depart to pursue a Masters in Law at the University of Hawai’i, Manoa through the PROJECT Governance Graduate Fellowship program, the United States Embassy said in a statement.

Debbie will focus on Environmental Law, Conflict Resolution and Corporate Governance and hopes to gain a deeper appreciation of the interaction of the law and corporate governance in shaping and guiding the development of natural resources; not only for economic gain but also in a sustainable manner for posterity. 

PROJECT Governance is a partnership of the East-West Center, The Pacific Community, CARE, the International Foundation for Electoral Systems, and USAID – funded by the American People.
