Admission Pathways
1. Grade 12 School-Leaver Applicants (NOAS Selection)
- Grade 12 students in Papua New Guinea can be selected to PAU through the National Online Application System (NOAS):
- Students create their NOAS accounts using the login details provided by DHERST.
- They list their program choices by ranking PAU programs in their five programme preferences.
- Students must sit the STAT-P test, as it is a requirement for admission.
- After Grade 12 exams and result processing, DHERST uses the National Selections system to match students to universities based on:
- Their exam results
- Their program preferences
- Program entry requirements
- Available quotas
- If a student meets the minimum entry requirements and is highly ranked for a chosen PAU program, they can be selected for a space at PAU through national selections.
- Successful students will receive their offer notice through NOAS and must follow the instructions to accept their offer and prepare for registration.
2. Non-School Leavers (NSL Applicants)
- Non-school leavers apply directly to PAU through its online admissions system.
