The Fulbright TEA Program is designed to empower educators with innovative teaching methodologies and cross-cultural experiences. During her time in the United States, Delilah will participate in academic seminars focusing on student-centered learning, instructional technology, and content-based instruction. She will also complete 40 hours of hands-on field experience alongside a U.S. partner educator, gaining valuable insights into the American education system.
Additionally, Delilah will explore specialized themes, including gender in education, media literacy, and environmental education. These themes aim to equip her with new strategies to inspire her students and colleagues back in Papua New Guinea. Beyond the academic aspect, she will immerse herself in the vibrant culture and history of the U.S. through community engagements and cultural activities.
This incredible journey is more than professional development—it is an opportunity for Delilah to represent Papua New Guinea on a global stage and foster cross-cultural understanding. Her participation highlights the caliber of educators in PNG and serves as a source of inspiration for teachers nationwide.
